| Eight Week Update Yesterday was eight weeks since surgery for me, and so far I have lost 33 pounds. I sometimes look at other's weight loss and wonder why mine won't come off as fast, but I also am happy with my success. I have started walking (finally), and got up to 2.5 miles this weekend. I'm trying to walk at least 4 days a week, but with my schedule, it's getting harder. It took me a while to get started; I just didn't feel like doing anything for the first few weeks. I'm still having constipation problems, and on top of that, I got those "other" things that people get from straining too much (I'm trying to keep it clean!!) I'm having problems getting 4-6 meals in a day; I just don't feel like eating that much. I've also noticed that I'm scared to eat sometimes, especially something new. I know that I won't know if it will agree with me or not unless I try it, but I hate my dumping syndromes, so I stick with foods I know work well with me. I do any type of seafood very well, green beans, veggie burgers, Wendy's chilli, and of course my Whey protein drinks. I actually mixed some (light) alfredo sauce with some scallops one night, but that didn't settle well. I guess I learned my lesson with that. I'm also having problems getting in my 64 oz of water in, but I am trying. That's another reason I like to walk as much as I can; the more I walk, the more water I drink. I'm also still learning to chew/eat slower, but sometimes my old habits come back. This is a daily trial, but I'm determined to win!! I treat myself with every 25 pounds I lose, so I've got to decide what I want to get next. Hopefully I'll be at that 50 pound mark very soon!! OK, didn't mean to write so much, but I wanted to give an update on me.

GREAT update!!!
The biggest thing NOT TO DO is compare yourself with others who had the surgery around the same time as you, or started at that same weight you did....
Your body has its own unique ideas of how & when you'll loose...
Keep following the MD's rules.
Your doing FABULOUS thus far. Keep it up!!
LOL,
