Hi, everyone!

I've cut myself back to weighing once a week. What a relief! Don't have to worry about it so often now. As of last Sunday I'm down 65 lbs!
I can now put on or take off my slacks without unhooking, unbuttoning, or unzipping. My wife keeps telling me she'll take them up so they stay up better, but her spare time is very limited. Sometimes I feel like I'm in "da hood", walking around with my hand on my belt because of that insecure feeling that my pants will be around my knees otherwise.
I have about 40 days to lose 35 lbs (which gives me room to not lose any weight for several days) to take me to 100 lbs in 90 days! (My next goal.) I just realized that my family (mother, sister, out-of-town children, etc.) won't recognize me by the time I get to see them at Thanksgiving. That'll be fun!

I'm in phase 3 now and can eat more foods than before, but I find that eating is more of a chore than anything, and I'd rather just forego the effort than not. I'm really getting tired of ground turkey, and have been dumping more than I'd like. I'm not eating anything not on the approved list - it just seems that a lot of foods just don't agree with me right now. At least I don't have to drink as many protein shakes as before.

Thanks for all the encouragement, written and testimonial. You all look great. I - by and large - can't see a difference in the mirror, but unless little elves are sneaking into my closet and playing a cruel joke on me, the clothing fit doesn't lie.

P.S. - Thanks for the help on the ticker, too. I'm not much of a golfer, but I've been cleared to go to the driving range finally, and that's much more appropriate than that hamburger.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

There are a couple of ways to keep those pants up, Rev. One involves a belt and a power drill to make new holes (I did that until I had over a foot of free end flapping!) The other requires a staple gun!!

Sometime in the not-so-distant future, we're gonna need some pictures!! Better make sure you take lots!

Good job, you loser, you!!

Your doing a fantastic job. And I for one pat you on the back for only weighing once a week. It is a relief not to have look at it daily.

Congrats on the wonderful job you're doing.
Other than what CT suggests, there are things called suspenders which might help you out with the falling pants, too

Loosing the weight is terrific but I am more pleased to see the change in attitude from your first post where there was depression and reservation about what you did in having the operation.

You move forward by not weighing yourself as often and this was a positive move.

However setting your goal to loose 100 pounds in 90 days may be a bit of a stretch as it may mean cutting back on getting enough calories to maintain your life style and in turn not getting enough vitamins.

Thats not to suggest that you cant loose 100 lbs in 90 days, just dont set yourself up for disappointment with such an ambitious goal. In the world of finance, it is better to be a bit conservative when budgeting and exceed expectations than to predict something difficult to attain and then not meet those expectations.

Just remember it took you years to put on those pounds, whats a month or two to take them off?

There will be times you will go through a phase of a week or two and loose very little (stalls) which is just part of the process.

Kepp your attitude healthy, focussed and positive and the weight will come off as at least 60% of your weight loss will be cerebral.
