Hi everyone. I am new to this site and haven't quit figured out how to do a profile (feel free to help me lol). I had lap. rouen y bypass on 10-16-06. I'm doing ok. I have major cabin fever not being able to go anywhere yet. My first docs. appt. is not until 11-3. I am looking forward to the appt. so that I can see how much I have lost. I unfortunately don't have a scale that will go up that high. My weight before surgery was 364.5 and I hope to loose 200. I must admit that I have trouble drinking my fluids. Before surgery I was like a camel. I could go all day without drinking anything and be perfectly happy. That so far is the biggest challenge for me right now. I have not been hungry yet. Now, I will admit though, when I see that darm pizza hut commercial it kills me. I crave things but not out of hunger, just because I know what it tastes like and love it. I look forward to having the support that this site obviously offers.

Hi Judy. Your weight stats are identical to mine. I went in at 365 in May 17. As of yesterday I have lost 87lbs. It can be done!
I had my doubts and still do but it comes off. I had those cravings too, like the day after surgery when I was still loopey from the surgery and on pain meds. I was thinking of all kinds of food and couldn't help to shake my head in amazement of this food addiction of mine. Here I'm laying in a hosp. bed, not able to move on my own, my innards rerouted, and still having cravings.
If there is anything you need, don't be afraid to ask. We are all here to help and support each other.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is a very exciting time. I'm glad for you that you are not feeling too bad!! I'm also excited for you in your first weigh in....that is really fun! I was shocked at my first weigh in!!! Get ready...it will blow you away!
Also about the pizza - glad to hear you know it's your head hunger. Just get ready....that will be a normal occurance. You really shouldn't have much hunger the first 4-6mos.....so, be aware if you "think" you are hungry. Take note: What is going on for you emotionally? What foods are you seeing or smelling....do they bring back a great memory or comfort memory? Are you near trigger foods?? NOW IS THE TIME....to do the hard work....figuring out what is going on in that head of yours....dealing with the skeletons in your closet - etc.
Can't wait to see you more on the boards...you'll figure it all out....I think there is a TECHNICAL Post about "how to's" about the board....take a search for that!

Welcome to the thread and you will love it here. I know all about the head hunger demons. I have them every single day and try to go to bed with a win in my column for the day. The natives here are very knowledgeable for us newbies and quite helpful too.
