Default Our Journey

Hi, all well I am just a little over 7 1/2 months out, and I have done really well. But in this journey I have kept complete details of what I put in my mouth, I have purchased a hand held device that I track everything that I
eat or anything that goes in my mouth. I weigh everything also. Since this is just a tool we need to work it correctly.
I have gone from a 26-28 to a size 10 and a size medium, when I think last summer I was so much over weight more than when I started this journey. I feel so lucky that everyday I have energy and can keep up with my 17 yr old, who loves to shop. I have been going to seminars to speak on the benefits of this surgery, but the one thing I tell everyone is this is a gift and we need to work it. And it is a must to take all your vitamins everyday and exercise. I am just so glad that I had this done and some of the reactions from people who haven't seen you in awhile it's awesome. Love this site and good luck to all of the newbies who are just starting out,
and yes it does get easier. Have a happy 4th.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default This wonderful journey

Hi, all I am been mainly a lurker and have posted a few times, but I would like to share with you all, I have gone from a 26-28 to a 10 or a medium in just a little over 7 1/2 months. Now you have to be accountable for every little morsel that you put in your mouth, I track every thing
I purchased a hand held device that I keep with me and
everything goes in and I know that there are on line sites, but with this I know where I am at, at any given time I watch my protein and my carbs. But this is just a tool which I now call a gift and we have to work it the correct way. Now last summer I was at my highest of 292 and then started this journey at 276. I have so much energy, I walk every day and you know when my
family it's ice cream or other things it doesn't bother me,
because I know that I am never going back and I know what is right for me. I have spoken at some of our weight loss seminars and I just tell everyone this is a tool and your are given the gift just work it right and this is a life long commitment. Now enough said but for newbies it does get easier. Have fun but just remember you need to be accountable for what goes in our mouths.
Have a nice 4th all of you

Judy

Well, Judy, just looking at your stats, I'd have to say it looks like you know what you're talking about! There's nothing like the voice of experience!! Those who feel the "need" of seeing how far they can lean away from the rules seem to have a much more difficult time of it. There is no substitute for following the rules TO THE LETTER!! It works every time it's tried.

You're doing great. Eight months to lose over a hundred pounds, almost to goal. People could do a lot worse than following your example!

What changes have you noticed that stand out the most in your new life now?

That is awesome. What is it you use exactly to track what you eat?

what I use to track is a device called calorie smart and can be purchased at coheso.com, I bought the more expensive one since I add all of my own food but it has food in it, go on line and check it out. And it also can be downloaded to
your computer so you can take your info to your doctor or the nutrionist.

Thanks for all your replies. And this is such a wonderful
journey.
Good luck to everyone.

Judy
