Hello, you have a great website here, i am enjoying exploring all of it. My name is Lisa, i began this journey (still in it's early stages), last June 07, i began losing weight in Jan of 08, and have completed all of my testing. I started at 459 and am now 392, and finally ready for surgery. I am not sure of the date yet but i should know in the next month or so. I have been doing a liquid diet the last couple months, i had to reschedule the dr appt and so i have to be on the liquid thing for another two months. Anyway, i think it is helping me get prepared for eating very little, though i am very tired of it. But I am ready! Lisa from Oregon

Im so glad you have taken a hold of this situation now you shouldnt regret it what so ever. Its a good thing. Welcome to the boards. Im Vickie. Honey I was a big girl to and as tall as yourself. I have been there. You doing the liquid diet would have to be much harder than after the surgery. I didnt have to do it. I know several on here that had to. It will give you a new life. You will have stalls at times but they break. Dont never give up. For the first couple years you cant acutally. It opens you up to what you could have been doing all this time. I would do it again in a heart beat. You will have so many WOW moments they will be unbelivable.
I do hope you come back and post while your getting the rest in place. It really helped me. Yep I come every day from March to Sept before surgery and learned so much. I dont know how I would have done it without the support of these great people.
