I am a major newbie to this site! I just had my sleeve surgery Monday as in 5 days ago. I am not having any issues other than soreness on my left side. I am pretty tired of gelatin and protein drinks already, so much for the you won't feel like eating theory...
i had lost only 21 pouns prior to surgery... In 2 weeks... surgery was scheduled really fast for me... long story...
I am sitting here wondering if it will really work? Will I really be able to breathe and be active again? Did any of you feel this at the start? I want to be excited but am so afraid of failure again...must be ghosts of diets past.... Any info appreciated. Have a great morning!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Tambrat,
I am going in for my operation today, I will have my surgery this evening.
I too lost 21 pounds on the Liver Reduction Diet.
I am very excited and very scared lol.
Providing you stick to the diet you have been given you will be fit and active again.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
NO you are not already sick of the drinks and the gelatin, you have to look at it another way......
It is only a few weeks out of the rest of your soon to be slim life and its got to be better than the Liver Reduction Diet!!!
I will be in hospital for approx 3 - 6 days, so I will check on you when i get home.
remember
IF THE MIND CAN CONCIEVE IT,
AND THE HEART CAN BELIEVE IT,
THEN YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT.

A winner never quits, A quitter never wins!!!

Everyone say a little prayer for me please.
You guys have been great, thanks for all your support.
Keep my seat warm on that Losers Bench, I am sooooooooo ready to take my place on there.
Best Wishes to all,
Debi

Welcome Tambrat. Glad you have joined us. This is a wonderful site for info and support. What you are feeling is so normal. I was sure that I would be the one that it would not work for. When the pounds start flying off you will know that it is working for you. Just follow your doctors orders and things will work well for you. I am not saying there wont be a few rough spots for you. Most of us have had a few of those but all in all it is really is a life-changing surgery. Good luck on your journey... Hang on it is a wild ride.

Welcome. Fear, apprehension, even some regret, will all be very normal feelings during this time. Wouldn't it be nice if they could bypass/sleeve the brain at the same time as our guts?
