Hi,

It's been awhile since I've posted. Have had computer problems.
I've been so frustrated with myself. I'm staying right at 180-182lbs. I work out all the time and my fitness trainer says it's because I'm lifting and gaining alot of muscle. I know I've lost inches and my body is really changing but it's sooooo slow. I don't think I'm eating too much although I eat a little more because I work out so much. I eat alot of salads. I know there's no protein but I really like them. I don't eat beef, only chicken, turkey, fish etc. I've been out 15 months, how much should I be eating? I really need the scale to drop!! I was reading some posts about "feeling fat". I feel the same way and don't want to go back to the "old" me. I get depressed because the scale isn't dropping and sometimes munch because of it. I know I'm not gaining but that isn't enough. Everyone says how good I look and I'm getting so skinny, but I just don't see it. HELP!!!!
Angie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Since you work out so much I dont have any advice to really help you. Your looking great though. Doc should be on soon to help you out with this.

Angie, first, I suggest you post some side by side pics of your before and now. Even if you find it hard to put it up on the site, at least, print 'em out and put them side by side where you can see it. That way, you will be able to see at least some difference.
Also, when you go out shopping with family, ask them to point out a person who is about the same size you are. You probably will be amazed at the result.

You're over a year out now, so the going IS going to be slow and steady and sure. It's better for your body that way too, it needs time to catch up, and for your skin to shrink some. Your scale WILL also get stuck for a longer time now. Your clothes and inches won't be, though. There are several planes that many people get stuck at, and bounce around, and 180 seems to be one of them. Once you break through, you probably will drop the next 10 pretty quickly, then level out for a while, then drop again. So, this will be a mental tug o' war, and yes, this is exactly the reason WLS is definitely NOT the easy way out.
As I keep saying, this is as much, if not more, a mental game as it is a physical game.

You're doing very well so far, so just stick to what you are doing, and you'll reach where you need to get to.
