YIPPEEEEE I got the call this afternoon at work. I had to contain myself because I couldn't imagine sharing my news with anyone except my DH. I had to wait almost 3 hours to tell him. I didn't even call him on my way home. This had to be a face to face!  I don't know when my surgery date will be as my call came from my insurance company after I bugged them a bit this morning. I was told it hadn't been reviewed and that a nurse would call me back. I thought, YEA, RIGHT  My nurse said that she was going to fax approval to my doc soon as she got off phone with me so I'm guessing I'll get a surgery date when they get it all worked out.

Congratulations! I also got insurance approval yesterday! My doctors office called, and my surgery date is July 30th. I'm so excited. We have been working on this for almost 2 years with 2 different insurance companies. I am not really looking forward to the 10 days of clear liquids, but at this point I'll do anything to make this surgery successful! Hope you get your date soon!

this is just a thought about the pre-op liquid diet: i did this voluntarily, my doctor didn't require it for me. i am so glad that i did, because i was able to go through the "Head Hunger" that most people experience and was able to do this prior to surgery. afterward there are enough little things to work through and i was glad that i was mentally in focus for life after surgery.
