Default Hi I'm New-Post Op -230 pounds

Hi there everyone!

I am a 2 1/2 year post-op who has lost 230 pounds. I had Lap RNY on Oct. 16, 2003.

In April of 2005 I had my lower body lift. I had 53 pounds of excess skin removed.

I am loving life and have had so many great things happen since my WLS. In Jan. 2005 graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I work in private practice now and lead my own weight loss surgery groups. I got married on June 26, 2005.

So, many wonderous things are happening. I'd love to give support, advice or just a friendly "hug" to anyone who needs it.

Just e-mail me!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Dr. Marcy. I am so glad to have you on board. I look forward to using you like I get to pick Doc Sanae's brain often. You will find that I am always full of questions, and my brain should be fun to study. I tease people that I passed my psych eval by making sure that the check cleared. lol. I think it is fascinating that you had the skin removed. One of my friends is trying for a tummy tuck this summer. I really hope that she gets it done. Was the skin removal a really hard ordeal to go through? I started to watch one on tv and got squeemish. Of course that lady had skin removed all the way around her midsection and had over 400 stitches!!!! OUCH! Well, it is great having you here.

Default Thanks

Thanks Janae! Pick my brain anytime. I had a total lower body lift. One insision all the way around and one up the middle. I had over 900 stitches!!

I have pics too. I've lost more weight since that day and could do with another little tuck now...but I will save more surgeries for later. I has three last year-lower body lift, gallbladder removal and hernia repair. Yikes!!! I am happy to be back walking, talking and getting out there!!!

Hugs!!!

wow, that is a major experience to undergo. I hope that I wouldn't have to have a body lift like that, but I guess that if the time comes and I do, God will give the strength or drugs to do it...lol. You really are a great inspiration. I can't wait to see some pics. I think I would take a vacation from surgery if possible too. Thanks for the email you sent me earlier too.
