Thumbs up Great news!

Great news! I have my surgery scheduled for the 31st. I have been trying to read as much as I can and learn as much as I can. I am a little scared about the first couple of weeks after, just because I don't know what to expect. any suggestion on this please let me know. I understand everyone is different.

Thanks
Bonnie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Bonnie ~ welcome. Basically, you will be recovering from major surgery, even if you have only a few small incision sites to care for on the outside. You'll want to rest as much as possible, sip all the time (early out I used to take my water everywhere including the shower! LOL, couldn't get enough to drink ) take frequent walks, even around your house or to the mailbox, just to keep your blook circulating to prevent blood clots and to aid in removing or dissipating all that wonderful gas post op and getting lots of TLC. Buy some protein shakes, etc but don't load up because your tastes most likely will change (I didn't like chocolate immed postop and anyone that knows me knows that's just plain absurd!) Check in with us from time to time and let us know how you're doing, any questions you have, etc. It's a much better journey if you don't go it alone. Hugs ~ hang on for the ride of your life ~ what a trip

Bonnie, just follow the instructions the staff gives you and you will do fine! I am over 6 months post op, am 58, and doing super! i have lost over 120 pounds and exercise and watch every bite i ingest! I have followed the rules and am very pleased with the results. Be prepared to lose some hair - i think about everyone does. my hair used to be poker straight and NOW i am growing a fine head of curly hair! My diabetes is gone - my blood pressure, normal. I have lots of energy and feel like a new person! You will, too....
