Red face Hey there HH

First - do you like "Heather"...or...."Hannah"....??? (or neither...maybe just HH?)

Anyway...I completely understand about the "meat" issue...but let me tell you - it will get better. For most it does. How long have you been PostOp??

I do great with Chicken...and fish....(fish was always great)...sometimes I could do shrimp - sometimes I'd make a 'refund'... !!!

Now...6mos. post op. I do a TONS better!!! But...the big difference is chewing...if the piece of meat is dry...or tough...I still make a refund! I just can't do it when it's not moist.

My best advice is:
  • take it slow....
  • chew chew chew....
  • eat ONLY moist meat...(anything dry...NO WAY!!)

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Some of my favorite protein sources have been:

Calorie Control Hood Chocolate milk (available at grocery stores)
Advant Edge Carb control shakes in ready made variety
Stallone PUddings (pick up at GNC)

those are my favorites. I have used powder of the same shake but must use the carb countdown choco milk, banana and sometimes peanut butter to get a taste i can tolerate. I mix them in the blender, with some ice
and make it like a SHAKE!
