Smile New to the group - My first post

My name is Teena and I am a single 34 yr old mother of a 5 yr old 4lb Chihuahua named Nico (Yes, I said mother) and we live in Mesquite, TX.

I have been in the WLS world (predominately Obesity Help) since 2002 and have since 2006 been MIA as I was out having a blast living my life.

I had Lap Gastric Bypass Surgery (proximal) 06-06-02 and was very successful and reached goal in 6 months.

I also got insurance to approve all of my reconstructive surgeries and then became certified as a personal trainer in 2003.

I was healthy and thin for 6 years and life was absolutely fabulous and then I developed a gastro gastric fistula (verified via Upper GI and small bowel series) in the beginning of 2008 .

I had no insurance to repair it then and afterward everything begin to change even though my eating habits were/are still clean and healthy.

I have gained some weight because of this, but that is very personal and between me, my scale, my revision surgeon, and God so out of respect please do not ask me how much.

I now have great insurance and was approved in two weeks.

I am scheduled for Lap Gastric Bypass Surgery Revision from Proximal to Distal and repair of my abdominal issues on September 2, 2009 by Dr. Nick Nicholson at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

I am really excited about all of this since I made a very detailed website of my journey my first time around.

http://www.angelfire.com/tx5/bbwnomore/

I am now able to go back daily and read what I went through the first time so this time around I am not going in blindly and I have something to compare my revision to.

I have no doubt that I will once again be successful at WLS as I still eat clean and healthy and follow the rules of my pouch, exercise, and am focused on reaching my goals as I always have been.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Funny thing is I have a feeling I may already know a lot of you gorgeous ladies and gentlemen.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Glad you are sharing your journey with us ~ hopefully, you'll get thru this bump in the road and on your way back to where you belong A lot of times when people come on and say they've had issues with regaining, several of us suggest checking with their surgeon as we have heard that "stranger things have happened" than having an issue come up that allows for unexpected gains.

Hugs ~ welcome
