Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Howdy Everyone!! Hello Ya'll! My name is Phyllis, and I live in Colorado Springs. I found this group on a search engine, and you all seemed like you have a lot of information for me to learn from. I am pre-op, and I will know my surgery date this Thursday, 7DEC06. I just got out of the Army 2 months ago, and I am loving the civilian life! Even though my husband is still active duty, I like to having to deal with those people everyday. :-) I am getting the surgery because I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and I am borderline diabetic, AND I hurt my back the first time I went to Iraq, and both of my knees the second time I went to Iraq. So, anyone who knows PCOS, knows that it is next to impossible to lose weight, and the whole situation is a catch 22. But my main goal is to be able to have babies! I can't right now because of the PCOS, and I can't wait until my year to 18 months is up to see if I can get pregnant! That will be the best day of my life, when I can have my own child. Anyway, I don't want to talk your leg off, but I just wanted to say HI, and Thanks for all of the info you guys put out there. I'm glad to be a part of this room, and I will keep y'all updated when I find out my surgery date. Have a wonderful night! Phyllis

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.  |

Height:   | Hey Phyllis, my mom's first name is the same as yours. First off thank you for serving in our nation's military. My hubby is Air Force so I know it isn't easy many times to serve. Did you try to go to the tickerfactory website? I guess I don't completely understand the question. I know there is a thread somewhere here that has detailed instructions for the tickers. Janae |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Sorry I didn't update sooner, I have been so busy! Well, the deal is, the surgery is on, but the date still isn't final. Because of the holidays and everything, the hospital is losing quite a few surgery dates this month. So, I am waiting for a call from the surgical nurse to actually "schedule" my surgery, but the surgeon said that it will be mid to late Jan. Hoping mid, but after the 14th, cause that is my B-day! I am so excited, I can't wait... and my husband bought me a Magic Bullet for Christmas, which is going to help out tons! I also went last week and bought all my protien shakes, and vitamins, and all that good stuff, and ordered my midgets from Tupperware which should be here soon... SO, I am ready, just waiting for a definate date!
