Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass    |  Newbie Hello everyone, This is my first post i just found the site. Tomorrow is my surgery day and i am a nervous wreck. It has been a long road for me to get to this point 18 months. I am hoping for a speedy recovery. I will be having an open surgery at albany med. with dr. rosati. Wondering if anyone else here has gone through the program at this hospital . Thanks Cindy

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Twas the night before I have floated around another web site for many months now not ever being able to post any questions or give moral support to anyone. I have to tell you that it brought tears to my eyes knowing that finally i am in contact with other people who really do understand . Well it is the night before and everyone was absolutely right about not getting any sleep it is now 12:00 a.m. I don't have to be at the hospital until 6:00 a.m first patient of the day I sure am glad of that. well i just wanted to thank everyone for your well wishes i will contact you as soon as i can get back to the computer.

This is sooooo right about the "night before"...but hopefully you will sleep a lot while you are in the hospital...although I remember that to be very difficult! I'm just sorry I didn't see this thread until 2am Eastern time....so I'm sure I've missed you....and hope you are fast asleep right now! I will be praying for your surgery in a few hours....knowing that you are nervous....praying that you will just relax and trust your surgeon. I know they will take the BEST care of you! Hoping you will be able to connect with some of the WLS PostOps that did their surgery OPEN. That is a HUGE adjustment...and very different in length of time in recovery. I pray that all will go smooth...and that you will be back with us on the boards...and that whatever your questions are we will be able to be here for you and support you in anyway necessary! I know this board "GOT ME THRU" the major stuff with my recovery....I couldn't have done it without this board. I am soooo thankful!! Looking forward to hearing your update.... How much you lost in your first week.... and how you are feeling.... Don't worry...we ALL wondered "WHY did I do this??" initially as we came out of anesthesia...and as quickly as we thought it....the thought "flit" away.....I don't know even one who regrets the surgery! Congrats!!!
