Default My doctor says my diabetes is resolved!
My A1C was 5.9!!! I haven't been that low since I was in my 20s! NO MORE INSULIN!!!

All of my other labs were great. I still have a slightly high LDL so we're going on a really low dose of a cholesterol drug. But my triglycerides went from the 600s to 130!

My blood pressure has been creeping up, however, so it's back on the BP medicine for a few months. At least I'm on the lowest dose possible.

My PCP is so pleased. She says if I never lost another pound she'd be happy. I won't, of course, as I still have a lot left to lose but I still can't believe these are my numbers after not even 2 full months since surgery!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.

Wow!!! That IS GREAT!!! I am currently taking 5 needles and 2 pills a day for just my diabetes. My sugar was up to 480 yesterday and 381 this morning. My PCP said I am a very brittle diabetic and trying to control it has been very hard. We are praying that the surgery will do for me what it has done for you! My surgeon seems to think so.

I am just so happy for you because know how it is. I also take meds for blood pressure and cholesterol and was just put on the pain patch. I can't wait for my surgery on December 28th!!! Keep up the good work and thanks for the inspiration!!!

Congratulations!!
About 80% of the type 2 diabetics get full resolusion or major resolution so they need only the minimum amount of medication. The resolution rate is lower for type 1 diabetics, but the insulin dosage necessary is greatly reduced, so there's great improvement.
