|  Hello Everyone!!!
My name is Shannon. I'm 32 mother of an awesome 14 year old. I have went through all of my doctor's appointments, nutrionist appointments, and Psychological appts. I am not waiting for Aetna PPO to approve my surgery. I have made the decision to have the gastric bypass, and I am a litttle nervous,and excited. I would really like to meet some people who have had the surgery to pick their brians lol, and some people who are somewhat at the stage I am at. Actually anyone would work. SO I wanted to say hello and I look forward to hearing and reading everyone's experiences.

Hello and welcome! I was at that stage not too long ago, waiting for insurance approval. I actually had to go through a 24-week program before they would even consider approving it. Then a date was set for December 21, 2009, but then it had to be pushed back to the 28th. All I am waiting for now is the authorization number but everything else is a go. I got a call from pre-admissions Thursday to go over my surgery and what to do to prepare the night before.
The only thing I have left to do is my endoscopy on Thursday and I start my liquid diet then too. I pray all goes well for you and that you won't have to wait too much longer!
