My surgery is in 2 days! Really less then 48 hours! All I keep thinking is, am I doing the right thing?? I have been doing this liqquid diet for 12 days now. I keep thinking if I can do this, maybe I can do this without surgery. Although I know realisticlly I can't. I can't. I've tried, over and over and over again.

Being a single mom, this past week has been hard. Preparing for "if" something should happen to me. I hope all that I have in place does not need to happen. I hope that I have the stregnth to do this and follow through all of the way, post-op and in the years to come!

Thanks for listening....I'm just in a bit of a panic right now.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi, I know I thought the same thing, but I have tried ever imaginable diet, you name it I tried, was a real pro at weight watchers did that so many times. Well don't panic it will be fine, just follow your doctors orders and everything will go just right. I can say I just wish I would have been the size I am now when my kids were little, would have been so much more fun. But it didn't and now I am enjoying things so much more. Think positive and will be praying for you that everything goes fine. Take care of yourself, and you need to be there for your kids.
Good luck
Judy

I understand what you are feeling. I felt the same way. I was nervous all the way down the hall to surgery. This has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am sure that you will feel the same way. You will be fine. Good luck for a event less surgery and a speedy recovery. Please let us hear from you as soon as you can. We will have your seat on the losers bench waiting for you. I will be thinking about you and praying for you. You will soon begin a new way of life and a much healthier future.

Breathe now........... do it again. Honey those feelings are normal even for the ones that are married. Your not alone. I had put things in order myself before the big event. Remember this........... the surgeon is a DR. The person putting you to sleep more than likely is a DR. Your monitored all the time. You should be just fine.

Now breathe again and remember you got to this decision for a reason. Dont let anything overshadow that. Hugs honey. Breathe.

Awww..... (((((hugs))))) I know it's a scary time for you. You have all this time to think it over, and it really IS a big life altering decision. But I can say, it's the best one I ever made. I was terrified. I'm married to a wonderful man, but if anything happened to me... my daughters would go back to their fathers and for my oldest daughter, that's a horrible thought. But I prayed and had faith that I was making the best decision for all of us... and here I am a year later SOOO GLAD that I did it!! For me, it didn't help that everyone told me all the horror stories of things that went wrong with someone they know... I hate that, because that isn't the NORM. Don't let that sort of thing freak you out. Ok? Listen, we're all here to support you with this. And you WILL be glad you did this. It's going to all work out fine, wait and see. We'll be praying for you. Just take a deep breath and remember WHY you're doing this. It's to give yourself a better quality of life and offer your kid(s) a chance at a mom who can get down in the floor and play or run around outside and play... it's a priceless gift. I wouldn't trade mine for the world!!

Everyone goes through the preop jitters. You'll be o.k. Just think you are going to become healthier for you and your daughter. Here is to an uncomplicated surgery and quick recovery.

What you're feeling is sooo normal. Try thinking about how your life will be if you don't have the surgery. At some point you will probably be in a medical emergency or dire straights due to obesity then what will your kids do? Being in a hospital surrounded and cared for by highly trained professionals who are performing a planned procedure on you thus are prepared for contingencies seems far safer to me than having a heart attack while playing with your kids & there being no medical personnel on hand. I hope you decide to go through with your surgery. It is life changing and life lengthening. Your kids will appreciate having Mom around for a long, long time.
