Default Stall Finally Over

So finally after almost a month, the scale moved! I was stalled for what seemed like an eternity but true to everyone's word here there was a definite change in my measurements. In the month that I was stalled my belt moved in 3 notches. I even wore an XL sweatshirt the other day!

I was driving to may family Christmas party the other day an the shirt I had picked out was itching me like crazy so I stopped at a department store and actually bought a sweater. Size 2X didn't even have to try it on... and it was $12.00... I paid and went into the bathroom and changed and it looked GREAT, perfect fit and it didn't itch I am constantly amazed at how inexpensive smaller sized clothes are. At my heaviest, I couldn't have purchased a sweater for under $60... ever!

I am now shopping for coats b/c all of mine are 4X and way too big... I tried 3 on yesterday all either 1X or 2X and all fit! The problem I have now is that I can't decide which one to get, I have never had so many options!

How awesome is shopping in regular stores people?!?!?!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

haha!! I feel ya! I bought a large t-shirt at a charity function the other night, and called my husband on the way home STRESSED OUT because I was afraid it wouldn't fit. Got home and put it on, and it fits perfectly! I've even washed and dried it and it's still just fine. I'm still constantly amazed at being able to wear some "normal" clothes for a change! I can't remember when the last time was that I able to wear anything below a 3x. It makes me want to wear the tag on the OUTSIDE of the shirt so that everyone else can see what size it is! haha!!

Congrats on your success!!

Coming from between a 4X and 5X size 30-32 and knowing that only Catherines or The Avenue would have anything to fit me this is AWESOME... stopping at KMart and buying 2X sweater was freaking AWESOME!!! I do however still have to steer myself away from the largest sizes in the store b/c I forget that I don't need those sizes anymore!

Wow! Keep up the fantastic work! Word of caution...don't by too big. In the blink of an eye you'll be in a smaller size. Better to buy a little tight than have to toss your new purchase within a couple of weeks because you've reverse outgrown it.

It's a true mind-blower when you realize that you like the clearance rack because there are so many M and S selections on it (because there are so few people in those sizes to buy them!) I remember the day I took a chance on a $3- shirt in Small, and it fit!!!! Considering eight months earlier I had been a XXL with a few XXXL shirts in the closet, too.

It just keeps getting better!!! Enjoy it, but be careful how much you spend on clothes that you'll shrink out of in a month.

I'm definitely trying to stick to the smaller size. I am struggling right now with winter coats... all the ones I own are 26 or larger and they all hang off of me and look sloppy. I tried on a 2X and it fit perfectly but DH cautioned me against spending the $70 bucks they wanted for it b/c it would probably not carry me through the whole winter season here. In NE PA we are in winter coats through April sometimes! I did find one that fit that I didn't like nearly as much for $30 bucks, I may just have to settle for that one this year!

I had surgery at the start of winter so I was able to use existing coats for one last season. When the next winter came around, I bought some nice ones to reward myself. Today I was wearing my favorite - a knee-length shearling coat (the lamb's wool is on the inside and the suede leather inside is on the outside, tan, heavy, double-breasted with a great big flip-up beaver fur collar! It's nice and warm, and the wind can't touch it. It's a little flamboyant, but what the heck!! I got it on eBay for $45-.

Thats Awesome CT!! I have a not so secret love affair with coats... Last season I had 7 coats and I wore all 7! I literally had a different one for each day of the week! but what I really had was the ability to color coordinate my coat with my outfit. A standard mid calf black wool coat with polished wood bone shaped buttons and a HOOD was my staple, it goes with anything dressed up or down! This year it falls off my shoulders unless I button the hood button LOL! but the one I miss the most is the suede one with the faux fur lining! so warm and comfy!

I told you it was a love affair! Sadly it seems that replacement can't happen until next winter season so I am saying goodbye to them one at a time as I find them good homes. But now I have started looking at the coats in the smaller sizes and I am fearful I may not be able to stop myself from having ONLY 7 coats! Maybe there is a 12 step plan?
