| Hello There! WELCOME TO THE BOARDS! I am happy to hear that the life changing decision you made 2 years ago was the best thing that you could have done. I to, was scared to death at first. I got right to the end, and was going to back out. I didn't know if I had what it took to go through the surgery, and the discipline afterwards, that went along with having the surgery. I don't regret it for a minute either. I am doing well at this point out from surgery to. I have adopted alot of new eating habits, along with exercise. The new eating habits are what actually floor me these days. You never would have caught me eating collard greens before. LOL Heck, I don't even think I knew what they were. LOL So many good people are here, and need a boost every now and then, including me once in a while when I get scared and need some good old fashioned coaching. Now that I am in the maintenance phase of it all, I need lots of encouragement. I am doing well with it though. Some days are harder than others, depending on the stress of what the day brings. I have confidance though, that if I have thoughts of straying, as I call it, I can come here for the best support of all. THEY ARE ALL GREAT PEOPLE HERE, WITH ALOT OF COMPASSION IN THEIR HEARTS AND HELPING IN ANY WAY THEY CAN. I LOVE THEM ALL. Again, I am very happy to know you are doing sooooooo well with being that far out from surgery, and still going strong. HATS OFF TO YOU.  Hope to get to know you a little better through the site.mike |

I'm Deborah, I'm 38...married w/ one daughter - 3yo. I'm nearly 9mos. post op and have lost nearly 127#...and I'm thrilled!! Although I'd only had one "day surgery" b/f my WLS to have my GB removed...and I STILL was scared! But, knew if I wanted to save my life...I needed to have the RNY! Never regretted any of it...and now, nearly in ONEDERLAND - I'm soooo thankful that my journey has gone as it has. I still have about 60#'s to go...but know eventually that I will make my goal! What is your story?? We'd love to get to know you and hear what you have to say about your journey...and day to day life now.... WELCOME!!
