Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default Toni....

GREAT MEETING YOU!!!
WELCOME!!!

Wow your weight loss journey is unique...as everyone's is....
I'm sooo sorry to hear about your recent surgery...and having IBS...that is a real bummer.
I have two very good friends that have ulcerative colitis. One of them had surgery a few years ago...where they did a bowel reconstruction...and a "J Pouch" - have you heard of this??

Since my WLS...I've been amazed at how similar my friends diet and my diet are - very very similar. (except - she doesn't do well with mushrooms, lettuce, or nuts. - I do fine with all of the above....)

Anyway...I'm glad you have found us...and would love to get to know you better thru your posts.
How tall are you...is your new weight a "good weight" for your height?? or are you thinner than you want to be??

Hang in there with your diet...I'd say...be sure to stick to the basics...and if your surgery is similar to my friends...I could email her...and ask her more of what she does.
  • Did your Doctor give you a list of foods you can eat?
  • Do your two food regimes contradict each other?
  • Is that why you are having problems??
Just a few questions for ya!!
Talk to you soon Toni!!

Hi Toni and Weclome! My mom has had ulcerative colitis since she was a preteen and has had an illiostomy since 15. I find the same that you have Deb that her diet that agrees with her is high protein low carbs and those same ones bother her stomach also. Hope that helps you somewhat Toni but not really sure.
