I am pre-op. I have had nothing but countless appointments with the Psch., Dr., and Nutritionist, and am feeling like I am being led on, this has been going on since April of 2009. Has anyone else had such a long a dragged out session?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Mine moved fast but we had the end of the year facing for insurance purposes...seems like yours is moving a lil slow though...may depend on how busy each person is that you have to meet with...call your dr office and ask them why , thats what they are there for ...

It could be an insurance requirement. I know my insurance required 6 mths under Dr. supervision before they would approve and my Dr. would schedule appointments between that time. As SummerBreeze stated, give them a call.
Remember they work for you
Stay positive. It will be here before you know it.
Big hugs♥

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Good luck with your process.
(((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

Insurance requires a lot of pre op tests to make sure you are fit and ready for surgery. Also, if you are going to a bariatric center of excellence, then they usually have their own program to make sure you are fit and ready.
If you haven't already, check and ask what the exact pre op requirements and schedule are for both your insurance and surgeon. That will give you an idea if they are doodling or if things are going along their schedule.

I started my journey in 2008. Partly due to work scheduling though. It will be here before you know it. Start getting into the lifestyle. Logging your intakes, eating separate from water drinking, chewing food to mush and exercising. It will help get your body acclimated and you will feel better too!

I guess it depends on insurance and where you live how long it takes. I live in Canada, and I started in June 2009 (that is when I got an appointment from my gp's referral). In September I met the surgeon but then I had to go through sessions with the therapist and nutritionist. In December, I met the surgeon a second time to give consent for the surgery and my surgery was scheduled for January 2010. All in all, it took six months.

For my first surgery it flew by, for this one it only went as long as it took to get the appointments. I guess it really does depend on your insurance company a lot too. Like SummerBreeze and Brandy F stated it doesnt hurt to just call and ask.
