 |  Hello, I'm brand new here Hello all!! To start off my name is Rebecca and I'm 34 years old. I'm married to a wonderful supportive man and I have two great children. As far back as I can remember I've always had a weight problem. I've been able to lose weight but then I put it back on with extra. I have chronic back pain and arthritis. I've debated for years whether or not to consider surgery. Well I am happy to say that I did make a decision and I am having surgery in 2 days!! I'm having the laparoscopic gastric bypass. My current weight is 253 lbs. My husband is in the military and he is currently deployed and he will not be back home until June of this year. It's going to be very hard without him here so I am here to get a much support as I can. |

I had my wls on 11/02/06, so not to long ago I was feeling all the feelings your are probably feeling right now. I promise they will go away. It's only natural to feel scared or to think I'm I really doing the right thing. Your health is most important so you are doing the right thing. I am mike, a 33 yr. old married gent. with 4 kids-3 girls and one boy, a chip off the old block. lol Well, except for he is actually underweight for his age, and I wasn't at his age.  I LOVE THE NEW ME. I had open incision RNY done on August 1st, and have lost exactly 100#s since then. I FEEL GREAT! You will be on the losing side very very soon. Can't wait to hear from you when you get home. WELCOME ABOARD. mike |
