Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | GREAT TO MEET YOU! Welcome to Our Board!!! I'm hoping that you will find means to have this surgery if that is what you want! My name is Deborah, I'm 38yo, married & have a 3yo daughter named Isabella. I'm nearly 9 months Post Op - and have lost 127#'s. I pretty much had a text book surgery to date....I've had no serious issues. I did have the standard issues...lack of chewing properly...and eating too fast! This causing the "foamies" for a while until I realized what I was doing wrong! (once I realized....all that was rectified rather quickly!) Hope You get the hang of cruising around this board...and that we all will get the opportunity to get to know you better thru your posts here on our board. If you have any questions...all you have to do is ASK...and then someone will speak up and come to the rescue!!

| Well, you picked the best site you could have ever been in. AN AWESOME BUNCH WE HAVE HERE. No question goes unreplied to. Anyway, I am mike. I am married, 33 yr. old father of four from Wisconsin. YAH! YAH!, I am a cheesehead. lol I had open incision RNY done on August 1st, and have lost exactly 100#s since then. I FEEL TERIFFIC, AND WOULD GO BACK TO THE OLD ME FOR ANYTHING. Off all my meds. except for my cholesterol pills. Hopefully, at my next dr. app, he will take me off. He just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a heredity thing, instead of all the junk I was eating before surgery to raise my cholesterol levels. If you are a shopper Christina, like most gals, lol, think, CLOTHES!! CLOTHES!! CLOTHES!!, and you will have no worries. It is a journey that is scary in the beginning, before the surgery I mean, but one not regretted afterwards. HANG IN THERE GIRL, AND STICK WITH US. We will help you out any way we can. mike p.s. WHAT DOLLS FOR GIRLS!!!!!!!!!! They are really KEEPERS. I have 3 of my own. lol |

| Whipper Snapper | Hi Christina, What part of Louisiana are you from? I live in Mandeville. My name is Shondi and I am scheduled for surgery Feb. 5th. You will find alot of info on this site. When I found it I had been praying for God to show me whether I was supposed to have surgery or not and was wafering on not going through with it. After reading the posts and hearing what others had to say I felt like God was giving me my answer. Best of luck. I know it is hard here to get qualified. I have BCBS of LA and they don't cover surgery. We are having to pay for it ourselves Shondi |
