I just finished my 6 month diet 2 weeks ago. I handed in the last of my paperwork to my patient advocate yesterday morning. An hour later she got an ok from the insurance company and today just now, I got a March 30th surgery date! My stomach is tied up in knots. I'm excited, nervous, a whole gambit of emotions. It seems it took so long to find the right surgeon (I've lost count of how many seminars I've been to) and to get all the prerequisites done to have it all "take off" now makes my head spin. I'm looking forward to the coming changes, anticipating a whole new lifestyle and for once in my life being "petite"

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Congratulations!! You just have enough time to start living the rules so it'll be an easier adjustment when you can start eating again!!

Will you have to do a pre-op prep diet? Peanut and I each did two weeks of liquid protein hell, but it was worth it. Well, I did two weeks, she ended up doing four, but not by choice!!

Oh I remember how it all took off once I got the date. It seemed to take forever up to that point, then the time just flew by. Hang on! the coaster has reached the top of the hill and is just about ready to descend.

Good luck on your surgery. Word of advice the first week home is the hardest and each week it seems to get easier. Find a shake that you really like.

congratulations! and welcome to the board. The time will go fast until your surgery. Best advice for me was to start living the life before your surgery. Look forward to hearing more from you in your journey.
