Default Stricture (non-stricture) update

I had to have that nasty barium swallow test this week. Fortunatly, they did find out I did not have a blockage. Believe it or not, after I thought about it, I had acid reflex/heartburn. My doc took me off my reflux meds in mid-February, and I had to go back on them. I'm starting to feel better, so I think that was the culprit. The one good thing about being scared to eat was that I lost 4 pounds; since I've starting feeling better, I've gained 3 of them back. So maybe if I want to lose more weight, I need to go back off the meds again -- (I think not!!!) That was defintely a scary feeling, and one I hope I don't feel again.

On another note, my dad's surgery is Monday morning, and the docs hope to remove part of his left lung, but may have to remove the entire lung with the way the tumor is situated. We did find out the tumor was cancer, but it has not spread. The doc is confident that he will be fine, and we are all confident too. I'll give you updates as we receive them. Thanks to all for the well wishes and prayers.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

So sorry about you dad , lets hope all goes well...its tough when we are daddies girls isnt it ? Glad you didnt have a stricture have you been on a previcid the whole time..my dr had me on one form beginning and says to be on it for life..i increased mine to two a day becasue of all the nausea etc , think I will stay on two for a 6 months to yr , it seems to help...stress doesnt help the situation , and I can say dont stress but its impossible right now...let us know how dad is when surgery is over..hugs and good luck !
