Default 20 pounds to go and I have lost 100 pounds.

God I love even numbers. Makes things so much more simpler. I am thrilled to be 180 pounds! I am in a size 14 pant and xl top because I still have big breasts! I have been taking pictures all the way along and I don't even recognize my own self these days. Feels good but a bit sad. Like I am missing that joy I used to have. Hard to explain but it's like I feel like I am in limbo and not living my life now..just waiting to be that skinny woman once and for all. Maybe it's the hormones or the body image thing. But some days I feel like I liked my self better when I was fat. At least I seemed to know who and what I was then. These days it is like staring at this stranger waiting for her to evolve to completion.

Thinking I might try and get some counselling soon. Too much change in my life this last year and I don't feel rooted to anything? Just the rantings of a mad woman who wants to eat a chocolate eclair because she misses eating some days but is never really hungry....talk about ironic...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Your doing great ! You look fantastic ! If you feel you need counseling go for it ! Butyour early out and our hormones are raging ( for all the wrong reasons lol ) Dont 2nd guess yourself , just go with the flow and enjoy your new body and lifestyle..I know a gal who had WLS she was high (short gal ) 300s and lost like crazy , and she said here I am getting skinny and I find myself sometimes just sitting on the couch feeling unhappy , she said I have no reason to be , I love my new body but everyone else is eating away and I cant have it...our mind plays things on us the hunger game is terrible...but yet her daughter has had the surgery now , so she beleived in it enough to encourage her to do it while a young mother...So your feelings of I am not sure why I am unhappy are normal at this point I think , but a dr call never hurts , just might clear some things up in your mind...
Now on a good note ,I got to tell you , cause you didnt hink you could ever have it again...I had a nice small steak last night for dinner first time since surgery and omg it was so tender and so tastey and it didnt bother my pouch at all , I just cut it up small and took my time chewing ,now I am looking forward to making a london broil this weekend ...I took my papya enzyme before I ate also , I am really a believer in this , it has stopped pain in my pouch and back ribs that I have had since surgery ( the backand side ribs )So there is life after WLS with food even , just healthy food! And it dont get any healthier than a nice juicy medum rare steak ! Hang in there , I am on my countdown to 100lbs now , scales are sliding a lil past 2 days , let shope they keep sliding , been a longer stall it feels this time...hugs , Annie

You look amazing!
Counseling is never a bad idea, but having said that - I think what you are going through is normal...I feel the same way some days - I'm guessing there's an adjustment period that has to take place! One day at a time!

You must be a party girl !!! In every picture you are holding a drink. Now I am assuming that it is alcohol, if it is does it affect you differently now - after the surgery.

I have no courage..just running on air right now. Thinking why the hell did I do this to myself. Why didn't I feel good enough about myself to not allow myself to get that big in the first place? What am I going to do with all this jello skin and hanging breasts and sagging face? I know it all sounds very negative and no one wants to read negative posts on an inspirational web site...But the reality is that I am now second guessing my self and who I am.

I seem to have lost my joy as I said. And alot of that joy was centered around food and drink. I used to be the life of the party and now I am surrounded by food and drink and it doesn't seem right to me....

But thanks for the encouragement. I need it..to move on..as I can't go back..

The one with the martini was last year when I was close to 300.

The Blue Top is Diet iced tea I made at the bar.

The orange is a cooler of which I drank half and was loaded and fell off that stool. Don't drink! laughing

This is so true! I didnt drink much before but a few weeks ago I was having one of the worst days of my life!!! We had a sample bottle in the cupboard and I grabed and gozzled it down and then........ down I went! Lets just say that my husband was soooo glad I had lost so much weight because he had to carry me to bed!

Our kids were out side playing and did not need to see me toasted! It hit me hard and fast.... Beware to those who have not had a drink yet? Do it at home ahead of time if you think theres a chance in the future you may have one out in public! Thats not the time to find out how you respond to it.

On the flip side, my husband now knows how easy it is to get me drunk.......
