| Whipper Snapper |  Hi: I.m new here as well. I live in Canada and had my surgery (open) on Jan10/07 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I'm 64 with bad knees and back - since losing 32 lbs. in less that 1 month I have no pain. Having some blood pressure problems - it was alway high but now it is a bit low - so the doctor has advised me to not take the meds for 5 days to see if it goes up or stays the same, To-day is the first day since surgery where I am becoming back to my old self - also expiericing a little depression but I have had it before and it might be the cold weather-not feeling 100 per cent or the effects of surgery. Anyhow I'm glad I found this site and know I will find support when I need it, Thanks. |

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.  |

| Welcome Garda! Always good to see the newbies come on board. I am glad that everything is going relatively well for you these days. SEE WHAT ONLY A FEW POUNDS CAN DO? It only gets better hun. BELIEVE ME! I had open incision as well, on August 1st, 2006. I have lost a total of 106 pounds, and am LOVING, AND LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST THESE DAYS. I am, for the record, right where I want to be these days. I am teetering between 140-143 pounds these days. I have actually learned to like going into stores now, and getting clothes, other than sweat pants. LOL Problem is now though, that I can't find a 28 waist pants anywhere in the stores. LOL I guess I am going to have to stay at my 30's. That is A OK with me though, since I came from a 40-42 waist pants int he beginning. UGH! Hope to get to know you a little better from here on out. The cold weather sure is a bugger these days, isn't it? I live in WI. KNOW THE FEELING OF COOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD WEATHER ALL TO WELL. Doing a GREAT job. KEEP IT UP!  mike |
