Smile on the losers bench

Well I had my surgery on Tuesday. Today I am home, exhausted, in pain and wondering if I did the right thing! (Kinda a joke since it hurts so bad! I am very happy I had the surgery and try and concentrate on the good stuff).

I feel like I should wear a corset to hold my tummy in (since it is so sore). Like everyone else I get to sip and walk and sip ad walk (whee) and eat my mini meals of 2 oz of broth and jello. (Neither of which sounds appealing). But we do what we gotta.
Hope you all are having a good week.
Warmly,
Jackie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well, if you're up and griping about it, it must've gone okay!!

Be patient now. Your body will need a bit of time to get rid of the IV fluids and stabilize, then it'll figure out that you're giving it what it needs to take charge of your life and do its thing. From there on out for at least a year or so, you are a passenger, but it's one heck of a ride!!!

Welcome to the Loser's Bench!! Hope it's everything you'd ever hoped for and more!!

Congratulations!!! Take things easy and one day at a time.
Also, some surgeons send you home with an abs binder, which will help you the first few weeks.

Hug a pillow to your tummy, it helps. Use your pain meds, this is not the time to tough it out, and take stool softeners!

I second the stool softeners. Your bowels were emptied for the surgery, and it'll be awhile before they fill with real food. Do not expect normal function for the next couple of months until you stabilize on solid foods.
