Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  New to the forum Wow I have been checking out the photos and it is amazing the weight loss difference in all of you. My name is Bobbie Jo I am 38 and had the surgery at Kaiser hospital 4-10-2006 I weighed in at 199. When I was approved in 2003 I had to lose 23lbs for the surgery. it took me 3 years to get up the courage to do it. Now that I have had the surgery life is so much easier to deal with and much harder. I am happy about the weight loss but some days the urge to have that extra treat gets to me. But I wouldn't trade this for anything. I am so glad that I found this site. Bobbie Jo

There are things that change as the direct result of the surgery and weightloss, and there are things that will stay the same despite.
