Smile Hi everyone!

Hi! I am new to this site. I had my weight loss surgery 11-29-06. So far I have lost 50lbs. It hasn't been easy but I am coping. I was having a lot of trouble eating and throwing up. But, that has improved a lot. I have periods of depression which I'm not sure if that is a result of the surgery or not. I am looking for guidelines, experiences, and support from people who have gone thru this surgery. I have joined a gym which is something I never felt comfortable doing until now. I hope everyone has a good day.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I have never in my life suffered from weepies and depression as i did the first 12 months post op. DURING the rapid weight loss period i was not myself at all....horrible mood swings!!!

I will say that has stabilized and i got thru those times. I will say its totally normal and if its really troubling you seek professional helpl. I even went thru some therapy sessions to help get thru.

I look forward to getting to know you thru your posts!

HUGS
and welcome to the forums

Welcome. You have found a good spot. Keep looking around and please keep us up to date on your progress. Does your Doc know about the throwing up?
Please feel better.

You will find out so much here. I learn more from the wonderful people here than I ever did in my 10-week required WLS classes. I am just a pre-op too but have learned so much about the bfore, during AND after. Welcome to the greatest ever support group.
