| Newbie | Hi! I am new to this site. I had my weight loss surgery 11-29-06. So far I have lost 50lbs. It hasn't been easy but I am coping. I was having a lot of trouble eating and throwing up. But, that has improved a lot. I have periods of depression which I'm not sure if that is a result of the surgery or not. I am looking for guidelines, experiences, and support from people who have gone thru this surgery. I have joined a gym which is something I never felt comfortable doing until now. I hope everyone has a good day. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have never in my life suffered from weepies and depression as i did the first 12 months post op. DURING the rapid weight loss period i was not myself at all....horrible mood swings!!! I will say that has stabilized and i got thru those times. I will say its totally normal and if its really troubling you seek professional helpl. I even went thru some therapy sessions to help get thru. I look forward to getting to know you thru your posts! HUGS and welcome to the forums
