Hello, everybody
I already have a few posts up, and suddenly realized I have not introduced myself.
I am on board, not because I'm WLS (though I am madly and daily fighting off my middle age fat thru good Japanese food and dilligent exercise), but because I am a medical doctor -- general internist/diabetologist/occupational safety and health specialist-- working daily with patients with weight control problems.
I also am Craig's attending physician whenever he's in Japan. (I sometimes give him good oriental wisdom and sayings along with medication whenever there seems to be a need

)
I am around to answer any general medical questions that you may have, though, in every case, you should go back to your doctor for specific answers to your respective conditions. Please do not hesitate, though, to ask anything, even if you think that it probably is irrelevant, because unless you ask, others can never tell if it in truth is irrelevant or not.
There is so much that I learn daily from all of you, and I am finding that the input from y'all gives me a good insight and perspective when I am seeing my own patients here. So, you see, you are helping my patients whenever you are helping yourselves.
You all are such lovely people, and this is such a wonderful place, I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
