 |  Newbie Hello everyone, I just joined up for the forum, and not really sure why I didn't wait until tomorrow because I'm about to go to bed, but anyway lol, I hope to meet a lot of new people here going through the same thing or something similar to me and help me along the way. Before I go, here is a little information about myself: I am a 31 yr old single mother of a wonderful 8 yr old daughter. I have tried for years to lose weight after having my gallbladder out 7 years ago, it seems to only come on and not go off though. After many options, my doctor and I decided that the gastric bypass surgery was the best option for me. So I did all the routine doctor visits to prepare for it, and after about a year of preparing, I had the surgery on March 5th. Everything was wonderful the first couple of days, I was up walking around the halls by myself and felt great, a little sore, but that was to be expected. Then on the thrid day the nausea and vomiting began and on Friday they had to go back in and found that there was an obstruction somewhere, so I not only had the bypass surgery, but another open surgery 4 days later lol. I have been home from the hospital for 4 days now and I am feeling much better, but don't have anyone here that I can talk to about this at any time of the day or night, a few friends at work, but not close enough to pick up the phone and call. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and hope that this can be a place I can come to for questions and help during this journey. Who knows, maybe even help someone else along the way!
