Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Hi from another Newbie Hello everyone I am Cherri, I find this forum and all of you very inspiring. I am 5'2" tall, and weigh 269 lbs I am 39 years old. I have completed my initial consultation with the surgeon, the psychologist, the pulmonologist, and the cardiologist. So according to BCBSIL I just have the 6 month diet to complete. Good thing I got an appointment to start that April the 3rd. I am trying to get the surgery done before the end of the year as I have on my own almost gotten to our family out of pocket already with the insurance. I have tried numerous diets throughout the years and I did lose some weight only to regain the weight I lost and sometimes then some on top of it. I have been quite unhappy with this for some time now. It wasn't until I had to get a CPAP machine for sleep apnea that I realized I must do something to get the weight off and work at keeping it off for good. I know it is a new way of life, and eating, and working out, but I am ready for it.
