| Big Loser |  Hello Hi everyone nice to find this site. I have been lurking for sometime now and have visited other site but keep coming back here daily. It is great to read the results that many of you are getting and to read about the up's and down's of surgery. I am awaiting approval from my insurance (UH) to have a revision of a 1983 stomach stapling. They should be sending in my info in the next week or two. I am believing that I will hear a good report from them and that I will be ready to have my surgery in May or June. I have seen my surgeon, and we both feel the best surgery for me is the DS. So now I wait to see what is next on my new journey. It is great to have a place to come where I know there is great support. I would like to thank you all in advance because once I join I will be around lots.  with lots of question and comments.So THANKS!!! |

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.  |

| Big Loser | Thanks for such a wonderful welcome. It is funny how things work out sometimes. I noticed last night that I actually came to this board for the first time almost a year ago. But at that time really felt there would be no way I could ever have surgery because I had no insurance. But now I do and there have been several times when I would get something sent to me from this site and think who in the world is this but never really took it out of my e-mail. Then about two months ago I got something again and thought ok who is this and opened it and it was this wonderful board. The great thing about it was that I was looking for a place to come and be able to talk and share my faith with others about my journey. When I came back on this site and saw all of the post about God I truely got excited. It is nice to know that so many people on this board put their trust in God for answers. Again thanks everyone for the welcome. I feel at home already. |

Could I ask you why your Stomach Stapling from 24yrs. ago is now going to be a DS?? I know that Gastric Stapling that long ago may be different that long ago...but how did you do? Did you loose weight & the regain? I'm just curious.... I'm a yr. out from RNY GB....and we never know what life will be like 25 yrs from now....so, your post just got me thinking.....
