Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

hello again
this journey took a lot longer than I expected and I am glad
I found out now i have sleep apnea as well...however, what I first got upset about turned out to be a blessing I am sleeping and functioning better even with the extra weight. It postponed my surgery for 2 weeks. The doctor wants the patients on the cpap machine for 2 weeks before doing gastric bypass....so not April 20 it will be May 4

5 days until the surgery now....did lots of research before making this decision, on pre-op "diet" Lost 20 pounds already, amazed for I had not been able to drop a pound for a very long time...wow feeling hopeful and have not had the bypass yet. I will be having my gall bladder removed as well.....so the surgery will be 45 minutes longer. Regardless, this decision is the right one for me...althought initially it was the last thing I wanted to do, it feels right now....reading others posts gives soooooooo much hope as well...!!!!!

I almost had my gallbladder removed - apparently my surgeon was "iffy" about it so another surgeon made the call. I kind of wish they would have taken it - but, with my new diet and all, I'm determined to eat healthy enough that it won't bother me.

You're almost there - time to get excited!

Good job on getting the GB removed.
I had one horrid attack, went to the ER and they took it out.

When I saw my surgeon for Bypass it was the first question he asked."Do you have a gall bladder?" So I was glad it was out. They aren't dependable... and we don't need them anymore.

5 days huh? After a day or 2 post surgery you will start feeling better and start losing weight...and be able to do things you could do for a long time. It is a new birthday for you.

Good luck.

Welcome to RR. You're lucky they're taking the GB out at the same time. I had to wait a year for it to go bad and have a second surgery.
