Unhappy Hello, Just an Old Roux En Y'er

In Aug 2000, I had the Roux En Y. I lost 150lbs my starting weight was 425. Making long story short. The past 5 yrs have been very stressful as I had to deal with my mother getting cancer and passing away etc etc. Well I have gained a great deal back and I know why. 1) drinking coke and b) stress. Anyone know how I can stop the drinking of soda's again?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
((((((HUGS)))))) for your journey so far.
You still have your pouch which means you have the tool to get back on track.
I'd suggest by starting drinking that 64oz water that you probably were instructed to get in no matter what, and the 60g or more protein that again, you probably were instructed to take.
Also, go over the pouch rules again, and reconstruct your eating fabits and follow the rules.
In other words, go back to the beginning and restart from there.
You may need some form of counceling or therapy for stress control, if you've never had any, too, to help you out.

(((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

((((HUG))))
I am sorry to learn that you have slightly
gone back to some bad pouch rules.
I think the best thing you have done
you reached out to peers for support.
I think you just have to stand up strong
get motivated and get back on track.
THE tool is there if you use it right
you can loose weight again!

I think if you visit on the board the wonderful
WHAT DID I EAT THREAD and start journaling
what you eat daily might be a great first
step for getting track. SOMETHING about
admitting keeps one on track.

I look forward to getting to know you thru your
posts and good luck and were here for all your
ups and downs!
hugs

Welcome to the board! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I know how hard it was for me to give up my Pepsi. For me, I found something sugar free I liked enough to replace the soda. I think it was Lipton sf lemon iced tea. I've moved on now to Crystal Light fruit punch but I have every flavor of stick packs in my desk at work, I think. I really don't miss the soda anymore as long as I keep a good variety of flavors, I don't feel deprived.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Chrissy

Minute maid has a great Light Lemonade that comes in a can when I crave a soda I drink one of those gives me the feeling of drinking a soda yet only 5 cals per serving and its not carbonated. I've just recently found it in a Cherry Limade too!!
