Hi there everyone, I'm interested in talking to anyone whose had plastic surgery after a large weight loss. Altough I didnt have WLS I've lost about 75kg and am about to have a tummy tuck and arm surgery to remove excess skin, love to know how other peoples surgery went and if they're happy with the results. Thanks heaps. Heidi

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, Heidi.
75kg--that's approx. 165lb. That is really a great feat! I am so glad to hear of your success.
Most members on this board are still on their way to their goal, so as far as I know, only Craig, the Guru has had TT, and I know he's happy with the result. As a matter of fact, you can barely see his op scars. (As one of his docs, I've seen them, so I can vouch for this)
May yours go well.

Hey there, Heidi,

I had two Tummy Tucks (abdominoplasty) and a thigh-plasty.

Happy to help any way I can.

Welcome aboard and mega blessings,

Welcome Heidi!
I have not had PS yet but would love to hear from you and how yours goes. I soon will be looking to have surgery.

Congrats on such a huge amount gone. That is wonderful! You must be very proud of yourself.

Say, Heidi, would you care to post your experience in losing in your own thread in the Non Op forum?
I'm sure your experience will help many who are looking for options other than WLS.
For everyone, the ultimate goal is to develop a healthy life style and learn to make healthy food choices.

Yes, I'd love to share my experience with others - as anyone whose lost a large amount of weight knows it changes your life and I'd love to be of help to anyone so they can feel the same way! I am however on the otherside of the world in New Zealand, and still feeling my way around new to the computer! I'll do my best and thanks for the welcome this is a great support base for everyone. Thanks Heidi

Oh, if you are in New Zealand, then you must say hi to T2DMan a.k.a Michael.
He's the other admin of this site, helping Craig out with developing and maintaining this site. He works on this site out of Auckland.

Wow, we are getting international!!

Welcome Heidi.
No plastics here yet either. I'm celebrating my first re-birthday 4/27/06. So far I've lost 95 lbs. and I forget how many inches.
I'm so thrilled when I hear of anyone losing big without surgery. Hooray for you.
