My wife was packing her suitcase the day before her surgery. She was on the last day of her two-week liquid diet. Tomorrow would start a new life. Excited? You might say that!
The phone rang. It was the surgeon's office. The surgeon's father had just passed away, and he would be out for awhile. They gave her a new date for three weeks later.
So she went downstairs, opened the fridge and got out the chicken I'd been saving for my dinner. Yup, it wasn't there when I got home! Then she unpacked and I think she might have had a good cry. Then she pulled up her big girl panties and a week later she started the two-week liquid diet again.
That was years ago, and I'd have to remind her for her to remember that month. She's lost over 100 pounds since then, and is maintaining that loss.
All's well that ends well. This looks large right now for you. When you see it in your rear-view mirror it'll be much smaller. Hang in there!!

Thanks Perfesser, at least mine was just moved 1 week. I can only hope to achieve my goal weight and be able to successfully maintain it for the rest of my days. Tell your wife that i know now how she felt then, and that just like her i will put my Big Girl Panties on and Keep it Moving

I’m sorry that you were sick and that your surgery had to be re-scheduled. I can only imagine what a huge let done that has to be. Waiting sucks but hang in there. The date will be here before you know it!

I had something similar happen to me the week before surgey. I'd not been sick for a really long time and then became sick. My surgeon said the same thing... as long as I didn't have a fever surgery was a go. I was fortunate enough that I wasn't running a fever and had just a bad head cold. I know it must be frustrating but you are almost there now (again). I'll be praying that you have no more delays and are at 100% by Friday. Hang in there! Hugs | |

...It's safe to say my surgery had to be cancelled and re-scheduled...this is what i looked like ---> 
The one thing the Doctor told me a few days before was "Yrina, as long as you don't have a fever the day of surgery, i will see you on Thursday". I waited for 7 healthy months for this surgery to happen, and i get sick the night before WHAT THE HELL. Anyway, i just needed to vent, the surgery has been re-scheduled for this Friday, and i might put myself in a Bubble until then. Thanks for reading my rant
