Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board shirley, thank you for joining us.
Hope you feel at home, and find the support and answers you are looking for.
Congratulations on your successful weightloss.

I take it you are taking hormones for menopause. For one thing, recent studies have revealed that it's best to limit hormones for menopause to within 6 months (due to increased cancer rate and blood clot issues) to alleviate the worst of symptoms, so once you are off it, things should be a tad easier.

Remember, you still have your pouch and using it wisely will prevent you from regaining your weight. Your pouch is a tool, your tool that will not betray you, so long as you use it wisely, and treat it as it should be treated.
For overall longterm success, sticking around support groups is a good thing.
Go back to the basics of plenty of water and protein first.
Also, review the Pouch Rules and stick by it.
There is also a list of useful stuff in the Link List thread, so check out the list, and read whatever interests you.

Long term post ops here.
First off, CraigT, the host of this site. Reflections, a series of article written by CraigT may also be of help to you.
Then, off hand, dm514, KimberlyDiane, BreeChick. I are more, but I need to check first.

((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

P.S. I have moved this thread to Your Profiles as it fits in better here.

Welcome shirley!

I'm 5 yrs out and I hear ya hon! it's sooo scarey to regain any weight after this surgery. But Like the doc said..we still have the tool and there are tricks to get back on track too! Make sure to print off the "pouch rules" it really helps to look over this and be reminded of how this surgery works.

This is a great site for support and if you want to PM me I'll get back to ya as soon as possible! It'll all work out in the end.
