Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome. Seventy-six pounds is really great. We are all different and lose at different rates. So much depends upon your metabolism, how much you needed to lose, individual goals, etc. Don't judge your weight loss by anyone else's standards. If you are following the rules and feeling well, you are doing fine. You will find that this site has many supportive and friendly people. Please let us know how you are doing as you progress.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Congratulations on your wonderful weight loss.
(((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

You're at just about the right spot for 6 months out--half of your excess weight gone. The standard curve of losing is half of your excess weight in the first 6 months, the next quarter in the next 6 months, and the last quarter over the next 6-12 months.

You can never tell the exact amount you should lose at a certain point. Focus on the fact you are losing; yippee!
I made a great friend with another WLS patient in support group. WE had surgery 2 weeks apart and I have lost remarkedly more than she. We talked about it and decided not to talk about it. We wanted to keep a friendship. Because I needed to lose more, we finally figured I would lose faster. But the big thing here is, we were both losing, feeling good and doing more. THat is the main focus. GOOD LUCK.

That's great! I know not everyone is the same. I've seen different numbers here at the six month point, but 76 pounds is awesome. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the replies, I must ask for those who had the operation over a year ago, are you doing anything to lose weight still or did the weight come off slow or just constant? I know I lost 76 pounds but most of that weight was in the first 3 months, I have slowed down and even seemed to pause...
