Hello All! I've been reading the posts on this site since before my surgery on August 29, 2011. It's a great resource and I thank everyone for posting some really valuable info! Today is the first time I've posted. As of today, I am down 75 lbs. and I've never felt better. My surgery was, of course, to lose weight but I had many health issues such as high bp (gone!), sleep apnea/use CPAP machine every night (gone!), high cholesterol (gone!), fatty liver (gone!), pre-diabetes (gone!). It's only been 21 weeks since my surgery and I'm so glad I did it. I just joined a walking/hiking club that starts this weekend and I'm so excited. Also, I walk 2 miles a day at lunchtime with the girls from the office. Just wanted to introduce myself and I'm looking forward to being a part of this weight loss site.

Isn't it great to be getting healthy and active again?! I've had a few bumps along the way but am looking forward to being able to start up walking and running again as soon as I'm given the go ahead from my surgeon after having another more recent lap surgery.
