 I have a amazing best friend!
My friend wrote this awesome passage today to nominate me for a makeover giveaway of a local salon. The makeover includes: Spa Manicure, Spa Pedicure, Anti-Aging Facial, Spray Tan Application, Haircut & Color/Highlight, Waxing and Makeup Application. She used my before & after pic from New Years Eve! She is an amazing friend & even if I don't win the makeover, I am already a winner because she is my friend!
"I am privileged to nominate my friend OliviaMorgan for the Extreme Panache Makeover! Olivia is a divorced single motherof two beautiful little girls, ages 7 & 2. Olivia has struggled withher weight since her teenage years, but recently took a huge step is becomingmore healthy for herself and her children. In February of last year, Oliviaweighed 309 pounds, and she decided to begin the 6 month approval processof her insurance company to have gastric bypass. In those 6 months shelost 23 pounds on her own and was able to get her approval. She had hersurgery on September 12, 2011 and since then has lost an amazing 79 pounds,for a total of 102 lbs lost in the last year. She will quickly tellyou she still has 57 pounds left to lose, but I know that she will notbe deterred--she is a woman on a mission!! I admire her determinationand fierce resolve, and I am confident that she will reach her ultimategoal and maintain her new healthy weight for the rest of her life.
Shortly before making the life-changingdecision for her health, Olivia began another journey that would also changeher life in a wonderful, totally different way. Through Facebook,Olivia reunited old flame from college and began a close friendship thatwould turn into a much more meaningful relationship. This man has beenby her side throughout her weight loss journey, encouraging her every stepof the way, and loving her unconditionally. He has taken on the role ofloving father to her children, and treats them as if they were hisown, which is something especially important to Olivia and her daughters,since he has been more of a daddy to her girls than their father has been,who recently moved across the country without even saying good-bye. Thiskind-hearted man brings a special light to Olivia's life, as well as thatof her daughters, which is evidenced in the glowing smile she has eachtime she talks about him.
Olivia is a great friend, beautifulboth inside and out. She is incredibly thoughtful in the kind giftsshe gives her friends and family, and I know she would be genuinely touchedby the gift of a fresh start when it comes to her appearance to go withall the hard work she has put in making over her body. I have attachedher most up to date before & after pic that I have access to, the differenceis amazing! The pic on the left is from the morning of her surgery9/12/11 & the pic on the right was on New Year's Eve, even though shehas lost another 12 pounds since this picture was taken. This past yearhas been one of extreme changes for Olivia, and what better way to comefull circle than to get the opportunity to rejuvenate her new look as well?
