melanie I'm really glad you started this thread.....but what about if you're on the opposite end...........but I am slipping into the same foods almost daily, and I get frustarted with the same after a week or so.......I've learned when I am full.....but I still feel I eat a lot.....maybe because there are multiple ingredients in the things I prepare? idk......according to my Doc's and I should be getting anywhere between 800-1000 calories a day less than a 100 carbs......I feel like I think about food all day.........and I def have triggers.......like last week I was supposed to go too the gym to do water aerobics.....but instead I chose to go for a walk later on....my husband had ordered dominos, because he knew I was leaving the house.....well because I didn't....my mout hjust watered as much as the dog's did.......then....today at work....a co worker ordered domino's....I had to swallow my spit because I didn't want to show everyone my drool.....instead I ate some of my protein bar and that made me feel full......but oh man oh man.....and you go by the bakery counter at the grocery store.....and look at all those beautiful cakes......I don't buy them.....and didn't buy them before.....but man oh man.....and girl scout cookies! Tis the season.....I don't give in....because I'm scared.....but am I a junky? lol addictive speaking and figuratively speaking????!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You are a recovering food addict. Unlike a drug or alcohol addict who can go cold turkey and never touch the stuff again, you have to maintain an ongoing relationship with food. It's tough. No one here ever promised you that it would be an easy ride, just that it would be worth it.

Ever read us say that the surgical part of extreme weight loss is only 10% of your long-term success? The other 90% is mental. The mind game is where this is won or lost. We have non-ops here who have played the mind game to perfection. I needed the 10% boost to get my life back.

The more you think about what you can't have, the more you will want it. Our minds constantly move us in the direction of our dominant thoughts. An alcoholic who thinks about booze all day is more likely to buy a bottle than one who has found a substitute to fill the hole that was left when he quit.

Positive thoughts will get you past the bakery counter with a lot less inner turmoil.

Good luck!!

MommyEliz:
Make your own pizza:

1 tortilla shell (I use a brand called Flatouts - 9 G protein)

saute chopped onion and garlic in small sauce pan, stir in tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper, spread over tortilla

2 oz of LF mozz cheese (or whatever cheese you like)

turkey peperoni, chopped ham, chicken breast

veggies: mushrooms, olives, green peppers, brocolli, anything you like

bake at 400 for about 10 min

Makes 2 servings

This is where I found flatout and the stores that sell them. I'll try them. Flatout Bread - Better Than Sliced Bread - Low Carb, High Fiber Flatbreads
