Default New to the Board

Hello all This is my very first post. I've been trying to post for about a month now but was unable to. Thank you Michael for fixing the problem. I have so much to say;but I will try to condense it as much as possible. First thanks for all the support and information I have recieved over the last month, just listening to all of you. I just went to the doctor yesterday two days early for my one month checkup. I am happy to say that I have lost 30lbs since surgery and 36lbs since liquid fast before surgery. I have had some problems however. I skipped through some of my food progressions since week two when I was put on a high protein diet. and by week three and a half it caught uo to me. I've been throwing up all day everyday. hard to keep things down. My doctor says I need to follow the diet plan more carefully and prescribed prevacid. After taking the prevacid I through it up,had to take it again later it setteld and I was finally able to eat some shrimp which I tolerated and drink some water without throwing up. I just ate a piece of cantalope for breakfast or shpould I say a few bites and thats all I can tolerate right now. I was supposed to progress from things like peanutbutter and eggs after my two week liquid fast, then add seafood the next week then chicken the next then finally beef and pork the next week. As I said earlier I skipped through the progrssions and was eating meat before I was supposed to. I am now up to my week of eating chicken, and will finish my progression next week with adding beef and pork. So I guess I brought it on myself I intend on being a good little boy from this point forward. I'll write again soon.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joinng us.
Congratulations on joining the Loser's Bench.
Do be careful with what you eat, especially early out, your pouch takes 3-4 months in healing completely. Until then, you have to treat it with kid gloves.
Be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions, even if you are feeling fine, think you are doing well, so you figure can fast scroll the program.
I know you are impatient to get there yesterday, heck, everybody is, but you have to be patient to get the best results.

(((((((HUGS))))))) May your journey go well.

Congratulations on your success, yes, do follow the guidelines, I am so paranoid about not doing the wrong thing that I over analyze everything. But it is a learning process for all of us.

heY welcome to the board and im sorry you had troubles with your first posts but glad the site admin got you all fixed and your able to post now.

Welcome to the looseing side
and yes its very important to eat the foods in the stages
that your surgeon calls out for. ITs almost like a babies stomach learning
food all over again. BESIDES that much healing is going on inside and you dont want to rupture any suture lines internally. BUT sounds like your on track now and thats great news.
YOU will get the hang of things
and i look forward to getting to know you thru your posts
hugs

Welcome to the board and congrats on getting past the surgery to start your new life. I am sorry for the problems but seems as though you have a handle on it now. That's the important thing. Keep up the good work and good luck. Mattie
