Default My ultrasound done

Hello Everyone,

Well had my ultrasound today and for the first time in like several I have had in the past 9 years, I have to say this was not bad at all. They did both outside and inside. (sorry men cover your ears). I had a great conversation with the teck. I explained to her how back 9 yrs ago they told me I needed to have a hysterectomy but was to fat to have it she did not say anything. She then did her job and did it very well. As a matter of fact tomorrow I am going to call her supervisor and tell them just how great she was. Anyway once it was over I told her thank you and thanks for being so patient with me and me being obese. She then said no problem. I then told her that I was trying to get approved for weight surgery but that they turned me down. She looked at me and said well you need to fight them because you needed the hysterectomy 9 years ago and they should have done that then. You just fight them and fight them. I was suprised to hear her say that. So I guess I can kind of know what my ultrasound is still saying that I still need the hysterectomy. But if that is the case then maybe that is all it is and nothing serious. If that is the case maybe they can put me on some kind of hormone since I am going through menopause, and then once I have my weight surgery they can then do the other later.

So far have heard nothing from my surgeons office since I called them on Monday. But I expected that!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good luck on your journey, it is so helpful when you have a "caring" professional to take care of you. Keep pushing forward and you will get your approval soon hopefully!

Finally called my Dr about my ultrasound today as it has been over a week since it was done. They are refering me to specialist in ob-gyn to get my results of the test. Not sure how I feel about that. Could be nothing but the same thing I have known for over 9 yrs that I need a hysterectpomy.
They said they would make me an appointment for either this week or next. So now I am waiting for the appeal and for the ultrasound results. But life is GOOD!!!!

Good luck with the ultra sound and keep fighting for the surgery. I think being overweight is a excuse for lots of docs not to do what is medically necessary because of the higher risk!!

Well I know it was in my case back years ago. I was fat and they just did not want to deal with me so they put me on birth control for months until finally I just decided to deal with the pain and the heavy bleeding. Finally I did begin menopause so the bleeding stopped. From time to time I would still have the pain but no bleeding. Now everday I have the pain and just the bleeding from time to time. MY appointment is June 19th, so maybe that is good news I would think if I had some kind of cancer that was spreading they would want to get me in to see the doctor asap. Anyway I should know about my appeal by then so maybe it will all work out for the good. Anyone ever heard of having weight loss surgery and hysterectomy at the same time. I think I remember one lady telling me that her insurance would not cover her dr to do her weight surgery but would for the hysterectomy so she set it up and paid her surgeon his fee and let her insurance pay for the hospital stay. Who knows God works in very strange ways. I will keep you updated!

Wink I totally agree....

Exhorter....
I completely agree - I remember being sooo frustrated that it was taking much longer than they originally said for my approval! (I had to wait nearly 8 mos. instead of 6 mos.)

Timing....
what is it - or why is HIS timing perfect? Probably b/c HE is God and I am not. So you are right when you say that "God works in strange ways"... I know that everything will work together for those who love him...and I know you do! So....I am standing in the promises and truths that God will honor your hearts prayer....that HE will use this to bring you into an incredible and healthy state in your mind and physically!!

And I am trusting...HE IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE than you (or I) could ask or imagine.... (Eph. 3:20-21)

Praying for quick responses and answers for you!!
