Hey, everyone! I am 4 years post-op. I lost 103 pounds. Have been doing great, but now I'm starting to gain weight. Have gained almost 20 pounds. I'm not eating right, and need some help. I cannot eat sugar-free (alergic). Any advice and/or support would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, Mippid.
Thank you for joining us, and I hope you'll enjoy this place.
103 lb, wow, you sure have worked hard and done great!

It must be frustrating to have come off track, though.
Have you tried to concentrate on your protein first?
Or maybe even go back to pure liquids->pureed->solid foods.
Do the whole regimen all over again, and recondition your pouch.

Something else.
Make a list of at least 10 things that have changed for you, for the better since your surgery.
Make a list of 10 of what you had wanted of your surgery pre-op.
Take stock of what you have accomplished, and remind yourself how hard you worked to get here.
You know, you are worth everything, and deserve to keep the success you have had in your journey.

I hope this helps you some.
(((((((((HUGS))))))))))) and welcome again.

Hi Mippid, congrats on your successful loss. A few insights from my point of veiw - look long and hard at where you are now and then remember how you felt where you were before, this is usually enough motivation for me to keep myself on track if I feel myself slipping, how great it feels to be buying smaller sizes and to not be so tired all the time, the results are the reward! And my secret weapon I use during hungry periods is egg whites, I boil whole eggs and throw away the yolk and just eat the egg white, they have a great satiety factor! Best wishes for getting yourself on track and welcome to the board from another fairly newbie.

I love the egg whites, it is the yolks that make me wanna yak! I have to hard boil all my eggs hard enough that there is the slightly gray lining surrounding the yolk or else it ain't gonna happen...lol. I am so sad that I am on Full liquid stage for easter and won't be indulging in deviled eggs, but will eat one or two once I can. Good luck sweetie.
