Default Hello I am new here

Hello Lisa, I am new here, I am from the USA but I live in Norway, I am having Roux en Y Gastric Bypass,I go back to the sergon on the 8th of August to talk to him and get my Opperation date.and on the 15th I meet with another Dr and a Nurtirionalist and a shrink guy.some questions for you and other's,
in the first couple of months after the opperation how much weight can i ecpect to loose,my husband thinks it a good idea to go and buye a goal outfit to hang in my room to see evry day but what size as I know that will change alot for a while, im use to xxl , also im going to see my daughter and grandkids in the states for a couple of months before my opperation, and clothes here are expensive I thought I should by smaller clothes to bring home, for when I will need it of course i dont know how to bye smaller things, what size if you were me would you bring home to hang up for after opperation?
can you tell me the difference between feeling to full with my stomache now compared to too full afer bypass.
did your personality change alot after, you see my sister had it done 5 years ago,and she is unbariable to be around, she is a snot, I hope I dont have a skinny snotty brat inside that will show her ugly face after lol.
im sure I will have more questions, if you dont mind later.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

HI. Welcome. In terms of how much and what sizes to buy etc, everyone is different. If you need to buy something to motivate you anything smaller will do!

As for the difference in fullness, it will take a lot LESS to fill up. When i first got home from the hospital I filled up off 2 ozs or so. again this all depends on the individual. now it takes about 6 ozs to fill me up.

Lastly, losing weight does give some a HUGE boost of confidence. How well you stay grounded depends on YOU and your mindset. Some of us are a bit more humble than others. I, myself will never forget that I was fat and will keep my attitude in line accordingly.

Nice to meet you and good luck.

Welcome to the board you are too funnyI think like money the more you have the more of your true personality come out. So I wouldn't worry about the personality change. Like Kenyar said confidence does build when you begin to look better and get compliments, sometimes for the first time. I myself have lost about fifty pounds in about seven weeks. Everyone is different of course;but as a rule people who start off whith a fairly high bmi tend to lose bigger amounts of weight earlier than those of us with lower starting bmi's. Twenty pounds a month weight loss for the first six months might be within a pretty fair norm. But where you lose the weight at is a mystery.Being a man I lost most of weight right where I need to in my stomach & waist. So maybe try to get a few outfits a couple sizes smaller for the Rapid weight loss and then a few outfits you want to get into closer to your goal weight. I hope this helps.

Hi welcome to the board!

In reference to the clothes, if you just want to get an outfit to help keep you motivated I would go down a few sizes that way in a few months you can fit into it and buy a new one a few sizes smaller. For me, I have clothes that I used to be able to fit into a few years ago that now I can fit into again and that is a huge boost to your motivation.

In reference to your personality, I have never been short on self esteem, my sister who is 2 years younger and much smaller always says you have so much confidence for someone your size so I might be a snot like your sister afterwards Just kidding but we shall see.

You will get a lot of information on this board!

Welcome schippers. If you go to "User CP" on the same bar as "Todays Posts" you can fill all of your profile in. For my weight ticker, I went to Google Free weight tickers and picked one. They also figured my BMI. Others may have done it differently but that was my way.
You will like it here. Lots of sharing and friendship. Mattie
