| I am 2 weeks post op Hey guys! I have been trying for like a week to post and let you all know my experience with my Re-Birth Day, but my computer would not let me. I was not really sure where to put this in what thread, so if it gets moved, I totally understand. This time two weeks ago I was in recovery and in a lot of pain (that I do not remember now!) The morphine was not working and my blood pressure was threw the roof, but finally they found something that would work and I was ready to get to my room. (I was the first one that day - I had to be there at 5:30) Anyway, once I was in my room, things went well. I wanted to get up and walk, but they wanted me to wait. I finally got someone to listen to me that I really needed to walk about 10:00 that night. Basically, my hospital time was uneventful. I felt dirty most of the time as I like to sweat out pain meds, but I used nothing I brought with me. There was a great PCT who gave me a sponge bath every day, but nothing felt better than when I got home and had a shower. I cannot stress how important it is to walk in the hospital. I also cannot stress how NOT hungry I was in the hospital, but so very thirsty and found the ice chips to be the best thing in the world. My family was great to me at the hospital and when I made it home, and I praise God that the hard part is over; now it is time to get to work. I went for my post op doctor's visit last Friday and my surgeon was thrilled with my progess. He released me to drive and start exercising. My incisions look good and my weight loss is on track. (I had lost 24 lbs. then) I have now lost 30 lbs and I feel good. How do I update my weight loss ticker? I have energy. I have found a way to get my protein in with ISOPURE. I find that if I just suck it in, I can drink it. You cannot beat 40 grams of protein in 20 ounces. I have eaten tuna salad and cottage cheese since making it to phrase 3 - purees. I am trying to think what all to tell you what all I have learned, but I will take any questions. I find it very hard to stop drinking 30 minutes before I eat and to wait 30 minutes after, but I remind myself I am trying to fix 34 years of wrong. The biggest pain I had was the left side, but I have heard that is very NORMAL. I can see changes in my face, my legs and of course, the girls. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope my post makes it to the right place...

| Genmel, I'm so glad to hear you are doing so well! I had mine on the 14th. I go for my 2 week tomorrow. I *think* I'm close to where you are, but I guess the docs scale will tell, mine is a tad flaky. I had my surgery early too....tried to walk about 5 PM and decided to go back to bed when I saw the doorknob doing a bit of a dance, I'm a wimp, though.... I hope things continue to go really well for you!!!! Good luck!
