Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Stay fat and die? this is excatly what will happened and sooner... WLS may not be the answer for everyone, but, let me tell you it saved my life. I rather have a little disconfort to be healthy and to be able to do things I havent done in years...then for a life time of nothing. You had surgery in May and so far as you chart reveal you have lost 29#'s...this is really good considering...that you feel this way about wls. I had two hernias(one absessed at 4 mo's out and plus a obstruction. oh ya I had pain, lots of it. BUT, I wouldnt change a thing...it was worth all of it

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | KEITH is very normal for u to feel this way early out now, with the complications that occurred for you right off the bat. We all could have been you, we were all at risk. ITS normal also to regret your decision to have done this early out. I bet in six months to a year you will feel differently. YOU been thru alot. ((HUG))) I know i didnt experience troubles. BUT for me this surgery SAVED my life and im sure if i didnt drop 143 lbs i proly would have had a heart attack or stroke in the last two years...NOW i dont worry of those issues. I know for me i regreated my decsion 3 days home from the hospitol. AND was why did i do this to myself my life will never be the same...... but i chocked it up to looseing my best friend "FOOD"!!!! "FOOD" got me thru alot of tuff times and now i learn daily to cope differently . HAD a mourning period but i have never regreted since that day. I am sorry you feel so but im glad you came and vented!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Keith I Agree With Ms Vickie And Lisa Your Probably Just Uncomfortable Now From The Surgery And Maybe Even Mourning Over The Loss Of Your Best Friend (food). It Will Get Better. Of Course Im Still Pre-op And I Have An Other Week To Go On My Surgery. But If I Dont Have This Done I Wont Be Around By The Time My Daughter Gets Married And If I Am Still Alive I Probably Will Be So Heavy That I Cant Leave The House. There Is No Way I Could Stay Happy One More Day In This Body Of Mine. I Must Have This Done For My Happiness And Health. For Me It Will Be Worth The Pain And Discomfort Of The Surgery But That Will Be Temporary And Then I Will Look Forward To Have A Better Life. Right Now Im Miserable And Uncomfortable Anyway. Please Hang In There It Will Get Better Each Day. I Can Understand You Have Had Alot Of Disappointment Thru Out Your JourneY But You Have To Think Positive And Do What Your Doctor Tells Ya. Before You Know It You Will Be On The Board Posting This Was The Best Thing You Have Ever Done. Hang In There Hun (((((hugs))))) |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Keith l am so sorry you are having such a terrible time. I would like to take you back to a post you made not to long after you joined this site. Do you remember how you felt when you told us this; "I am no longer able to work, due to bad knees, shortness of breath, and a buldging disc, that causes major pain in my lower back and legs. knowing that if I don't do something soon, I will not live much longer, ......" Try to hold on to the reason you did this in order to make it through this bad time. This bad will pass. I too am making this decision based on health issues. I want to live longer than 10 years. I want to see my grandson at least graduate from high school. My children lost their father a few years ago. They are all in their twenties and way to young not to have a father around. I want to be here for them for as long as I possible can. Keep us posted with your progress and vent if you need to. But please don't give up.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Keith, I'm new to this site but I've followed everyone's comments and prayers for you. I can't imagine the hell you've been through and I don't blame you for the way you feel now. We all make our best decisions based on the info avail to us at the time and based on professional advice. My doc made it very clear that wls could be the best thing that ever happened to me or it could kill me. He sure didn't pull any punches. Regardless, I want to send you my best wishes. May each day be better than the last.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Keith...I dont really have a comment to your post, Im going to give you some slack because your probably hurting still and probably really discouraged!! I just want to say..that I have never seen people on a web sight such as this come together and encourage you before the operation..literally pray for you when they heard you were in trouble...then rejoice and pray again when they heard you were feeling a little better! Practacally all the regulars here were giving there support in a way I havnt seen before! Hell...I hope when its my turn ...I get half of what you got as far as support goes. Everybody here was pulling and praying for you!! Just thought the next time you get really depressed about how bad you have it ...you just remember the people here are legit!! Something to smile about dont ya think !!!
