Hi I am new to the site and have met a few of you already through other threads. I had 10 months of pre op before my surgery with the heart doctor, nutrionalist, pysch eval, tests, ect. ---My surgery went well and I am now 11 days out on post op---AND 20lbs Lighter!!! Yeah!!!  I'm still on the semi-liquid phase and learning how to get the protein in and increased. I do cook and my mother worked was a head cook for years so we are getting creative with food choices for protein. I see my nutristionalist this week and will be going over the next phase hopefully.So far no sickness ---Only issues out the rear end  which I've been trying to adjust for in my intake. Right now I am starting a scrapbook journal of my progress for my local support group and family who is intrested in the process. I want them to know what it was/is like incase they were to choose the same path. I'd like to get to know some of you and your experiences in your journey.  so if you'd like to respond or send a personal message that would be great. I'd be happy to answer any question on what I had gone thru so far as well. Any questions or info is welcome. I'm an open book and not afraid to comment on any subject    Good Luck to those of you on your journey no matter where it is taking you.  |
